Privacy notice.

This website is run by Ollie Greenham, trading as Ollie Greenham Golf (“I”, “me”). I'm the data controller for the personal data collected through this site, which means I decide how it's used and I'm responsible for looking after it.

I'm based in Morecambe, Lancashire, UK. For anything to do with your data, email me at hello@olliegreenham.com.

I only collect what you choose to send me:

• Lesson enquiries. Your name and email address, plus anything else you add: phone number, handicap, the lesson you're interested in, where you usually play and your message.
• The Yardage Book. Your email address and, if you give it, your first name, with the date and time you signed up and confirmed.
• WhatsApp and email. If you message me directly, I receive whatever you send, along with your number or address.
• Technical data. Like any website, the servers that deliver this one briefly process your IP address and basic request details to serve pages, keep the site secure and stop spam.

• Replying to your enquiry and arranging lessons. Lawful basis: my legitimate interest in answering a request you've made, and taking steps at your request before we agree a lesson.
• Sending The Yardage Book. Lawful basis: your consent. You confirm it twice (once on the form and once from the email I send you), and you can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email, or by emailing me.
• Keeping the site secure and free of spam. Lawful basis: my legitimate interest in running a safe website.

I never sell your data, share it with advertisers or use it for automated decisions about you.

A small number of trusted services process data on my behalf, under contracts that require them to protect it:

• Resend delivers enquiry emails to my inbox and sends and stores the mailing list for The Yardage Book.
• My hosting provider serves this website and keeps short-lived technical logs.
• YouTube (Google) only if you choose to play the video on the home page. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play; after that, Google's own privacy policy applies.
• WhatsApp (Meta) only if you choose to message me there. WhatsApp's own privacy policy applies to that conversation.

Some of these providers are based in, or use servers in, the United States. Where your data leaves the UK, it's protected by the UK's adequacy regulations (for example the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework) or by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the standard contractual clauses.

• Enquiries: 24 months from our last contact, then deleted, unless we go on to work together and I need to keep records for longer (for example for accounts).
• The Yardage Book: until you unsubscribe. I then keep only your email address on a suppression list, so you're never emailed again by mistake.
• Unconfirmed sign-ups: the confirmation link expires after 48 hours. If you don't confirm, you're never added to the list.

You can ask me for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how I use it, or to have it sent to you or someone else in a portable format. Where I rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

This site doesn't use cookies, which is why you haven't seen a cookie banner. If I measure visits, I only use cookieless analytics that don't identify you. The YouTube video sets nothing until you choose to play it.

If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data, please tell me first so I can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK regulator: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint (opens in a new tab) or 0303 123 1113.

If anything here changes, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
